preston's ball birthday party

We had a ball had Preston's birthday party. What a great theme. And Julie carried it through with cake balls for the birthday boy.

blue and hot pink baby shower

A baby shower invitation for a baby boy, but with a hot pink background because the mommy-to-be loves pink. Somehow, I needed to make it clear that the baby was a boy, so I hope a blue buggy with blue wrapped gifts did the trick.

bbq shower for matt and chloe

My task was to design a BBQ shower invitation. The first thing that popped in my head was lights strung across the backyard. So I developed the design around that.

riann's bridal shower

Instructions for this invitation. Something simple, elegant and pretty. The envelopes are my favorite part of the design. I love when I get to do coordinating envelopes. I feel like it is something that is so unexcepted that when it comes in the mail you get really excited.

violet's baptism invitation

Sweet Violet was baptized this past Sunday. She wore the gown that has been wore by her big brother, mother and other family before her. Meg sent me a picture of the gown to be my inspiration for the invitation. I did my best to copy the gown's design for the invitation.

owl and grapevine invitation

When I was contacted about this invitation, the "theme" information I received was it is at a winery - so perhaps a grapevine, and the bride's sorority and groom's fraternity have owls as their "mascots" - so including an owl would be really cute. I was at a loss for a bit on how to incorporate owls and grapes, but finally it dawned on me to have the owls sitting on the grapevines. Well after drawing many grapevines from realistic to a basic graphic and several different owls, I finally ended up with a stylistic design I was quite satisfied with. Thank you Kathy for the fun challenge, this is why I love doing custom work.

silver sage nursery baby shower

Kendra ask me to design an invitation for Anna's baby shower and mentioned that her bedding was part of the silver sage collection from Restoration Hardware baby and child. I love getting their catalogs and looking at the adorable nursery so I was immediately inspired to mimic the bedding on the invitation.

fuji mum invitations

Purple fuji mums on a pale yellow background with pink accents made for the perfect Sunday brunch invitation. A small enclose card provided the bride and grooms registry information. I love using two different, complimenting fonts in a few colors to highlight certain invitation text and add extra interest.

kate's bouncy house birthday

Kate's mom wanted a girly bouncy house invitation. I am sure all those little four year old girls had a wonderful time.

waite's 2nd birthday

Waite's birthday party was a train theme. He is so in love with Thomas the train, but I did not want it to be a Thomas theme, just trains, think old train depots. However, I did want to include Thomas on the invitation in some manner so I made the invitation read that Thomas, Percy, Henry and James (Waite's favorites) were inviting everyone to the party.  The Maitewaite Station is one of the train stations in a few of the Thomas TV shows. They have a party there and decorate with flag pennant banners and balloons. So of course I wanted to duplicate that.  It is amazing what a black visqueen, streamers and balloons can do to change your garage into party paradise.  We did a sundae train for dessert.  Of course there were matching party circles for everything.  And the party favor bags personalized for each child.
